Downtown Nixa, South Main Street
SuckerDays is Nixa's signature festival and one of the oldest traditions in Christian County, dating back more than 65 years. The two-day event features a Friday evening parade, live music on the main stage, a beer garden, about 100 artisan vendors, and free sucker fish samples on Saturday afternoon. The festival draws up to 20,000 visitors and celebrates the bottom-feeding fish that put Nixa on the map.
Downtown Nixa, Main Street
The Nixa Multicultural Festival celebrates cultures from around the world with dance and music performances, international food vendors, and local crafts along Main Street. The free, family-friendly event has grown into one of Nixa's newer signature gatherings and reflects the city's increasingly diverse community.
Highway 14 and Main Street, Nixa
Every Saturday morning from May through September, the Nixa Area Farmers Market brings local growers and producers to the intersection of Highway 14 and Main Street. Fresh produce, artisan goods, and homemade favorites make it a weekly community ritual and a great way to support Christian County agriculture.
McCauley Park, Nixa
Nixa Parks and Recreation hosts free Movies in the Park at McCauley Park on summer Saturday evenings. Families bring blankets and lawn chairs for family-friendly films on the big screen under the stars. It is a relaxed, low-key community night that runs from July through September.
